we just got back from our fun 4th reunion. every 4th of july our family heads up to steeleaway (the family cabin in idaho) and we swim, eat, play, eat, parade, eat, race, you know what comes next, pinata, yup more eating, canoeing,hillbilly party, fireworks, and hanging out with the fam and all the cousins. i think that i gained 7 pounds! but really i don't know cuz i don't own a scale and don't really want to , so there.
just a little side note: Tate turned 1 month on the 4th of july! he is just gettin' fat and happy!! All the kids were good and had fun even though we were goin' on about 6 hrs. of sleepa night. to say the least, we are still recovering and I am going to be doing laundry for the next year just to catch up! my kids sure do love to get in the dirt, but doesn't that make life more fun?!
Jody took 2nd overall in the soda springs 5k and Joseph took 4th overall in the kids 1k. both of them won their age groups. way to go boys!! They also caught 2 fish at the pond.
I was so excited after the parade kali said that she would trade all of her parade candy for a peach , so we stopped at the grocery store and bought her a peach. then on the way home carter decided to gag himself and fire hose puked all over himself, and the carseat and car. lets just say that every time we got in the car the rest of the weekend, it reeked!!!!!!
I was a fun filled weekend and I sure do love my family. we all get a long, have fun and love each other!

FUN!! Congrats to the boys on their victorious runs and I'd like to add an amen to the food/scale/"so there" part! Glad you had a great time.
