Carter is always coming up to me and saying: "Mom, I love you". I then respond that "I love you too". He then replies with, " I love you more and for infinity, that means forever and ever" mom: "I love you for infinity too." He always says this in his sweet, lispy voice that I love.

So up at the cabin over the 4th Carter comes up to me with his sweet little voice and our conversation is as follows:

C: Mom, you have a big bum.

M: (sarcastically, but like a 3 year old knows the difference) Gee, Carter thanks a lot!

C: You're welcome! ( In his sweetest voice and with his cutest smile)

Talk about make my day!!

Happy Birthday Papa Steele!!

You are the greatest dad/papa in the whole wide world. I am so greatful for your good example of dedication and hard work. And for your testimony that is shared with us often. You have taught us well by word and by example. I am greatful for your words of wisdom and advice.

And I am so greatful for how much you love the grandbabies and how you can always calm them down to help us frazzled mothers. And how the grandkids will do ANYTHING for Papa to get a ride on the ranger. (even if it does take a little jellybean bribery.)((by the way, who is paying for the dentist bill?!))

BLACK WIERDO

ah, spider season.

the dreaded time of year when they all want to come indoors.

the kids found a small one 'living' by our back door.

so i went to check it out.

kali -- 'mom, i think that maybe is a black wierdo'

12 years and counting

jody and i celebrated our 12th anniversary last saturday. what a fun day we had.

we started the day off by taking our family to the Draper Temple open house. what a beautiful place to be. it was fun to explain to the kids why we went to the temple and for them to see where we go. joseph said he could feel the spirit and all of the kids were very reverent. we ended up our tour in a sealing room just about the same time of day 12 years back that jody and i were sealed in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. (joe thought that was prettycool) how greatful i am to have found a great guy and that he could take me to the temple to be sealed for eternity!!

later that night jody and i went to the jazz game. we had tonz of fun and we had great seats and parking. (thanks to jody's assisstant coach who gave us the great tickets!) i hadn't been to a game since junior high, and the last time jody went was when he was 8 years old. thanks mom and dad for watching the kids. (dad said that he asked joseph to bless the food and during his prayer he thanked Heavenly Father for getting to go to the temple before he turned 12. now if that doesn't make you feel good, i don't know what will.)

can you belive how fast time flies?! here is a little glimps at 1997:

my sisters probably won't forgive me for this one for a while. and kyle, the baby is returning home from his mission in Argentina in 7 weeks.

yesterday was the long awaited pinewood derby. all of the boys did well and had the best sportsmanship. joseph and jody worked hard on their car and had fun. and the fans had fun as well.
