Election Day-after

This year Joseph has really gotten into the election. (thanks to his teacher Mr.E!, Who by the way is the coolest guy ever!!) Anyhow, Joe came home from school on Monday so excited because their class did an election. He was telling me ho hard it was to decide who to vote for because Obama was going to do this and this and this. McCain was going to do this and this and this. He really learned about wha each candidate thought and wanted to do. They also talked about electoral and popular votes, etc, etc. I was really impressed by how much he knew. Then on Tuesday he wanted to watch the election on CNN and online.

Later Tuesday my bother Mike came over and Joe was telling him about how they did their voting. Michael made the comment: "I bet Joseph was more informed about the candidates before he cast his vote than most of America. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone else took the time to be informed before they voted?!" I agree. I hope you all went to the polls informed, no matter who you voted for, and you didn't follow the crowd or media or celebrities. I'll get off my soapbox now.

I hope we can all remember our new leaders in our prayers. May God Bless America!

Way to go Joseph, you rock!

Joseph Smith has said that the government shall hang by a thread, and it will be us, members of Christ's church who will fix it. I should find the quote so I can better represent it, eh?

AMEN, Katie! Who knows what Heavenly Father's plan has in store for us? I take comfort in the faith I have that he will take care of us and our free country!
